Press Release Récidivant l’initiative qui avait conduit 400 artistes à customiser autant de bombes aérosols de 400 ml, c’est avec un autre symbole – le plan de métro – que la galerie Mathgoth sollicite aujourd’hui les graffeurs. Du plan mythique de New York, en passant par ceux de Rio, de Bogota, de Rome mais aussi de Téhéran ou de Pékin, ce sont autant de supports à la fois proches mais singuliers, prétextes à la création originale.

Tags, bombes, feutres, pochoirs… : la liberté a été laissée à chaque artiste pour ne garder qu’en commun le plan des lignes colorées qui promènent le travailleur, le voyageur, le touriste et tous les citadins d’un bout à l’autre des capitales. C’est cette promenade, ce lien continu entre les habitants des grandes métropoles qui, dès le début du street art, avaient conduit les graffeurs new yorkais à investir le métro afin que leurs œuvres aillent à la rencontre permanente des voyageurs. En regroupant des artistes du monde entier, et les plans de toutes les grandes métropoles, la rencontre est aujourd’hui mondiale et multiculturelle.
